How it works

Tiny channels, big glow.

SkinPen® is a medical-grade microneedling device. It was the first microneedling device cleared by the FDA. It creates controlled micro-channels in the skin, activating your body’s natural healing response and encouraging collagen and elastin production.

Because it’s non-ablative and non-thermal, SkinPen® can be customized for virtually any skin type, including darker skin tones.

A series of 3 to 6 treatments is usually recommended, especially for acne scarring and stretch marks.

What it can improve.

After a series, many patients see visible improvement in the look of:

TextureUneven or rough skin
Acne scarringIncluding ice-pick scars
Fine linesAnd moderate wrinkles
Enlarged poresSmoother-looking skin
Crow’s feetAround the outer eyes

What to expect.

Comfort first

Topical numbing is applied before treatment. Most people describe a prickly or ticklish sensation.

Right after

Skin looks flushed and feels warm and tight, like a mild sunburn. Redness usually resolves within 24 hours, occasionally up to three days.

The weeks after

Makeup is fine the next day. Results build gradually as collagen remodels; full results are typically seen about three months after your last session.
